Nestled within a conservation area, our children are inspired daily by the natural beauty around them and are encouraged to explore the outdoors as part of everyday life. We embrace outdoor learning in all seasons and believe there is no such thing as bad weather - only new opportunities for discovery!
Our dedicated team of warm, welcoming practitioners ensure every child feels valued, safe and understood. We know that children learn best when they are happy, engaged and deeply involved in their play. By following each child’s interests and responding to learning, we capture those all-important “wow” moments that spark curiosity and deepen understanding. Children are naturally inquisitive, and we carefully create experiences that nurture their interests, challenge their thinking and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Our outdoor spaces are a true strength of our setting. They enable children to develop a strong connection to nature, take appropriate and supported risks, and build the physical strength and coordination essential for healthy development. We also make full use of the adjoining cricket ground, giving children access to an even larger open space where they can run, explore and experience freedom in a safe and supervised environment.
Choosing a nursery is an important decision for any family. At Smallville Nursery, children are at the heart of everything we do. We are passionate about learning through play and provide a rich, enabling environment that supports and nurtures each child’s unique development journey.
When your child joins us, they are assigned a dedicated Key Person who will support them as they settle in and throughout their time at nursery. We champion child-led learning, carefully planning around children’s needs and interests. Each session includes small group experiences to build confidence and social skills.
We pride ourselves on building trusting, supportive relationships with families, staff and volunteers. Strong parent partnerships are central to our ethos, ensuring that every child receives the very best experience during their time with us.
